What came first, pickles or people being fickle? Well, for chef / proprietor Andy Badgett it was kind of a tie. In 2003, Andy was in a fickle state of mind and closed his ultra fine dining restaurant "Asher" and turned it into The Fickle Pickle, a southern café and deli. The Fickle Pickle is located in a cozy 1890's Victorian house in the heart of Historic Roswell, Georgia. The Fickle Pickle is open for lunch and dinner serving "dill-licious" gourmet sandwiches and salads. Of course, The Fickle Pickle loves pickles so much that all of our pickles – dill, bread & butter and Cajun – are made from scratch. And speaking of pickles, those aforementioned Cajuns are used for our famous Fried Cajun Pickles with Creole Remoulade Sauce.
In June of 2014, The Fickle Pickle opened a bakery directly behind the restaurant called Sugar Shack in the Back. Sugar Shack in the Back serves breakfast pastries and coffee in the morning. On the weekends, the bakery serves some of the best biscuit sandwiches in town. For the afternoon and nighttime, the Sugar Shack in the Back serves cookies, desserts and ice cream.
